Benton County ARES Weekly Training Net Preamble
GOOD EVENING
This is (Name, call sign) net control for the BENTON COUNTY ARES NET.
This is a DIRECTED NET, and to break the net, please use your CALL.
Stations are requested to remain on frequency unless excused by net control.
This is an INFORMAL NET held weekly here on 147.16 MHZ through
the courtesy of the OREGON STATE UNIVERSITY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB.
This repeater requires a PL tone of 100Hz. The
backup frequency is 147.51 megaHertz simplex. Benton County ARES also
operates a
repeater on 442.3 MHz with a PL tone of 162.2Hz.
The purpose of this net is to keep the members and other interested amateurs
informed on news and events in the local area.
This net is open for check ins. Please give your callsign phonetically
when
checking in. (Set up how you want check ins)

For experience, all members are encouraged to be NET CONTROL STATION.

Emergency Net Preamble

or Tactical Location.
Stations are requested to remain on frequency unless excused by net control.
Stations with written traffic can always break into the net using the procedure
of BREAK, BREAK and your Call Sign or Tactical location.
This net is now open for check ins.
If a set of frequencies is being used for specific types of traffic or operations
(e.g. assignments, training), these frequencies should be announced after the
preamble is complete.
This preamble should be announced every 10 minutes to maintain a clear frequency
(if the net is busy, this can be delayed).
